Anadarko Petroleum (APC) updated the company’s Permian Basin operations for the fourth quarter of 2011. The company is developing various plays including the Bone Springs and Avalon Shale.
Anadarko Petroleum has nine rigs working on the Bone Springs play, with four operated and five non operated. The company also had one operated rig working in the Avalon Shale.
Anadarko Petroleum reported that recent wells in the Bone Springs play had initial production rates of 1,600 to 2,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day.
Anadarko Petroleum spud 20 Permian Basin wells in the fourth quarter of 2011, and completed 18 wells. The company has signed a joint venture agreement to construct a cryogenic gas processing plant to handle production from the Bone Springs play. The plant will have capacity of 100 million cubic feet per day and start up in 2013.
